Tuesday 14 December 2021, 3-4pm at Loughborough Hospital

The Covid-19 pandemic has been a time of unprecedented change for all, in particular for our staff, many of them working on the pandemic front line providing care. During this time, we have all experienced loss – for some this might be the loss of a loved one, someone in our care, or personal health; for others it might have meant the loss of stability or connection at work.

It is important we can all take some time to reflect on what we have achieved and been through together over the last 20 months.

We will be holding a commemorative event to mark the end of this challenging year and we would like to ask for your help in identifying some staff representatives to attend.

The event will be aligned to the installation of commemorative benches at 10 sites this winter and the creation of two reflective gardens, thanks to funding from our charity Raising Health and a grant from NHS Charities Together. These gardens and benches will offer a space for quiet reflection.

We will be holding a multi-faith commemorative service at Loughborough Community Hospital as a mark of thanks and remembrance and reflection on Tuesday 14 December, 3-4pm. This symbolic event will reflect the work of the whole Trust throughout the pandemic and we want our services to be represented there.

Nominate a staff member – NOMINATION FORM IS NOW CLOSED

You can nominate anyone in your service, whatever their role, who you feel embodies the work and dedication of our staff through the pandemic to take part in the reflective event. They will join our chief executive, chair and local volunteers in planting flowers for a commemorative display in the RVS courtyard at Loughborough community hospital.

We can welcome up to 40 colleagues at the event, and we will close nominations as soon as we’ve reached that number so please make yours as soon as you can.
