Jackie Moore, Financial Controller from Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, has received the Healthcare Financial Management Association East Midlands Branch Finance Professional of the Year Award for her ongoing contribution to financial services within the Trust.
The HFMA Awards programme recognises the work of finance teams and individuals from across the UK. The awards cover the fundamental aspects of the finance team role: including the production of the accounts, costing, governance, training and development, as well as the vital area of innovation.
Matthew White, Head of Finance, who nominated Jackie, said: “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jackie for over ten years as a junior, a peer and a manager. She has always been immensely supportive to both me and the wider finance team during this time.
“Jackie is one of those rare individuals that shows immense passion for her job and always goes that extra mile to ensure she carries out her duties to a gold standard. She genuinely gets excited by accounting standards and completing year end but this excitement never gets in the way of her giving time and support to her team and colleagues.”
Jackie received her award at the Healthcare Financial Management Association East Midlands Branch Awards ceremony at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham on Thursday 16 November from Richard Walton, East Midlands Branch Chair.
Jackie shared: “It is great to be recognised for this award. I am very lucky to work with such supportive colleagues in the Finance directorate and wider teams; their continuous support and encouragement inspires me and the fact that they took the time to submit the nomination means so much.”
