Advanced nurse practitioner
Advanced nurse practitioners are educated in clinical practice at masters level and have expert clinical knowledge and skills.
As an advanced practitioner you have the authority to act, make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients to enhance people’s experience and improve outcomes. Advanced nurse practitioners have been assessed as capable in practice across four pillars of advanced practice, including: clinical, education, leadership and research aspects of the role.
This role is for you if:
- You have experience of a nursing leadership role and experience of teaching and/or mentoring
- You are able to follow strict protocols, procedures and guidelines to ensure patient safety
- You are confident in your knowledge and abilities and are happy to work independently, as well as part of a team
- You are determined to ensure patients and service users are offered by best possible care by your service
- You have the right qualifications for the role
