Healthy child programme practitioner
Our healthy child programme practitioners work as part of skill-mixed teams, led by specialist community public health nurses (health visitors and school nurses) in our Healthy Together service.
They provide high quality and compassionate care within the remit of the Healthy Child Programme, through a neighbourhood-based service supporting children, young people, and their families. They help to identify health needs, improve outcomes, and reduce health inequalities.
- You are an enthusiastic, kind, caring and self-motivated individual
- You are confident with using equipment and being hands-on with patients
- You are able to work in a team but use your initiative
- You have a Care Certificate or are able to successfully complete one within 12 weeks
- You have experience of working in a healthcare environment
- You have achieved functional skills level 2 in maths and English (or equivalent) or GCSE grade C/4 or above in maths and English
