Our Bank staff are a key part of our workforce, working flexibly to support the care that we deliver across the Trust.

About bank work

Bank work means that you work on an ‘as and when’ basis with us, as requirements come up across the Trust.

Joining the bank can be a great way of working with us and offers a range of benefits including:

  • excellent pay rates
  • annual leave accruals
  • flexible hours to meet your needs
  • paid mandatory training
  • and much more.

There are no guaranteed hours with bank work, but we do regularly use bank staff across many of our teams.

What bank roles are available

We have bank roles in various areas including:

  • Registered nurse
  • Allied Health Professional
  • Healthcare student or students on placements
  • Healthcare assistants currently working with us through an agency
  • Admin and clerical currently working with us through an agency

How to apply for bank roles

First time working with us or agency

Our vacancies page will have the latest bank vacancies for both clinical and admin or clerical roles.

If you are looking to join our bank as a Band 5 Nurse, please apply here.

What to do if you already work for LPT and want to work extra hours

If the bank role is what you currently do then please talk to your manager in the first instance. They will need to speak to the recruitment team who will advise on what process needs to be followed. If the role you want to join the bank for is completely different role, e.g.  you are an administrator in your main role and want to join the bank as an unregistered nurse, you will need to go through an assessment process to confirm your skills for the new bank post. Again talk to your manager in the first instance, and they can liaise with the recruitment team on what process needs to be followed.
