Raising Health, the registered charity of Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT), is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Impact Report. This publication highlights the transformative work carried out in 2023-2024, showcasing how fundraising and donations have made a lasting difference for patients, service users, and staff across LPT’s community and mental health care services.

The Impact Report will be officially launched during the week commencing 20th January 2025. To celebrate this milestone, an informal online session will be held on Tuesday 6th February 2025 at 5pm, inviting donors, supporters, and anyone interested in Raising Health’s mission to learn more about the charity’s achievements and its future ambitions.

I would like to thank all of our supporters who have raised funds for our charity, helping us to provide the best care and experience for the patients we look after. In the last year, donations to Raising Health have enabled a vast portfolio of activities – your donation is making a truly lasting impact on the care we provide through our community health, mental health and learning disability services.”

Enhancing care beyond core NHS provision:

Raising Health generates income to support initiatives, equipment, and innovations that go above and beyond the core NHS provision, aiming to enhance the experience of current and future patients, service users, and staff. The charity’s key aims include:

  • Enhancing community hospital and mental health care facilities: supporting the purchase of new equipment and building improvements to deliver better care environments.
  • Fostering innovation: funding therapeutic activities and innovative practices to enrich the care provided to patients and service users.
  • Advancing medical research: supporting research to better understand diseases affecting our population and develop new treatments and therapies.
  • Promoting staff wellbeing: improving staff facilities, funding services that promote wellbeing, and providing educational opportunities beyond standard NHS provisions.

Achievements from 2023-2024:

The Impact Report celebrates a range of achievements made possible through the generosity of individuals, trusts and foundations, businesses, and local organisations. Notable initiatives include:

  • Creative patient sessions: therapeutic activities that foster creativity and wellbeing.
  • Patient trips: Opportunities for patients to experience life beyond care settings.
  • Enhanced spaces: equipping ward gyms and providing garden furniture to create inviting and functional environments.
  • Special gifts for inpatients: personalised gifts for birthdays and festive occasions, bringing joy to those in care.
  • Staff wellbeing support: initiatives designed to support and uplift LPT staff, going beyond the standard provisions.
