Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust has moved its headquarters from Thurmaston to County Hall in Glenfield.

The move has taken place in stages during July.

It brings together more of the Trust’s staff in one location than ever before, locating them next to clinical colleagues on the Glenfield Hospital site, including those who work at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit. The location will also enable closer working with system partners.

Around ten per cent of LPT’s 6,500 staff will now be based at County Hall. This will include the immunisation and vaccination team, our school nurse and health visitor helpline, community paediatric doctors, and administrative and support staff.

Jean Knight, LPT’s deputy chief executive, said: “We had a presence in Thurmaston for about 20 years, but the opportunity to bring more of our staff together in close proximity was too good to miss out on.

“We have also managed to make a significant saving in rent, which will be invested back into direct patient care.

“We would like to thank our former landlords and the people of Thurmaston for hosting us so well over recent years.”

LPT has had a small presence within County Hall since 2015. The community and mental health trust delivers NHS services from around 100 sites across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
