Two patients, one male aged 68 and one female aged 91, who had tested positive for Covid-19 have died at The Evington Centre. Both patients had underlying health conditions.
Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trusts runs community hospitals across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The Evington Centre, based at the Leicester General hospital site, is currently one of the Trust’s bases for treating Covid-positive patients.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust said: “We have shared our deep condolences with their families and our thoughts remain with them at this distressing time.”
