Service description
The Mental Health Central Access Point in LPT provides a 24/7 mental health support number for people in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
Callers will be connected to a trained professional, who can provide local support, advice or signposting, whether this is from the NHS, the voluntary and community sector, or emotional support over the telephone.
Where needed, callers will either be transferred to a mental health practitioner, or they will receive a call back from a mental health practitioner, within 24 hours.
All of this is available anytime of the day or night, with no referral criteria, available for anyone of any age needing mental health support for themselves or others. You can call this service on NHS 111 and select option 2, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This telephone number is totally free and confidential.
