Service description
At the NHS we are always looking to improve our services. We would like to know your experiences of using the NHS 111 mental health option since launching in 2024. Click the banner above to complete the survey, or scan the QR code.
Callers will be connected to a trained professional, who can provide local support, advice or signposting, whether this is from the NHS, the voluntary and community sector, or emotional support over the telephone.
Where needed, callers will either be transferred to a mental health practitioner, or they will receive a call back from a mental health practitioner, within 24 hours.
All of this is available anytime of the day or night, with no referral criteria, available for anyone of any age needing urgent mental health support for themselves or others. You can call this service on NHS 111 and select mental health option, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This telephone number is totally free and confidential.
You can also text 0748 063 5199 and we will aim to get back to you within 12 hours.
