Service description
This service offers diagnostic audiology assessments for children from 7 months to 16 years of age and for children attending special schools up to 19 years of age.
Appointments
Please be aware we are seeing an increased demand in referrals for our services.
We are sorry that children are having to wait longer than we would like for a hearing test.
Currently waiting times may be up to 10 months.
We are doing all we can to offer an appointment to children on the waiting list as quickly as possible.
If you have significant concerns about your child’s hearing, please contact the community paediatric audiology service on 0116 259 3919.
Locations
The service is carrying out improvements to some of our locations to make sure all the places we carry out hearing tests are of a high quality.
This means that some places may be temporarily unavailable.
Voluntary transport can be requested to help you get to a suitable venue for you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Please note, we no longer offer school hearing assessments. Please read our ‘Frequently Asked Questions‘ for further information.
The service is delivered at 11 sites across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
